What you will be doing:
The position of Exterior Design/Release Engineer - Accessories will be an integral part of an energetic team that's challenging the status quo of full vehicle design. Responsible for the full vehicle design and development of exterior components and assemblies.
Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
Manage all aspects of exterior component development to meet project requirements including performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability, etc.
Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet all project requirements. and development of exterior components and assemblies.
What you'll need to be successful (required must haves):
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
8+ years of vehicle design experience in the areas of interior and/or exterior trim.
Knowledge of design considerations required for plastic/composite components.
Excellent communication and team building skills.
Broad knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements related to exterior components.
Ability and Desire work in a fun and fast-paced environment.
REQUIRED *NOTE: USA Citizen or USA Permanent Resident status (Greencard) is required for this opening. No third party for this opening.
OEM or Full Vehicle design is preferred for this opening.
