Overview
A growing industrial technology organization is seeking a
senior-level engineer
to lead the design and development of embedded hardware platforms used in demanding environments. This role focuses on
digital circuit design, PCB development, and system-level integration
supporting next-generation control systems.
This is a
hands-on engineering role
with strong visibility across engineering and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Design & Development
Design and develop
digital circuit architectures and PCB layouts
for embedded systems
Create and maintain schematics, board layouts, and design documentation
Select components and ensure alignment with performance, cost, and manufacturability
Embedded Systems Integration
Develop and support
microcontroller-based systems and digital interfaces
(SPI, I²C, UART)
Collaborate with firmware teams on system integration, timing, and functionality
Support board bring-up, debugging, and validation
Testing & Validation
Execute
functional, environmental, and compliance testing
Troubleshoot hardware issues and implement corrective actions
Ensure designs meet reliability and performance standards
Manufacturing & Production Support
Partner with manufacturing teams to resolve build and quality issues
Support product release, first article validation, and ongoing improvements
Drive
design for manufacturability (DFM)
and
design for test (DFT)
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Develop detailed engineering documentation (BOMs, specs, test plans)
Maintain revision control and engineering change processes
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across design and production
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering
10+ years of experience in
digital hardware design
Strong experience with
PCB design and schematic development tools (e.g., Altium)
Experience with
embedded systems and digital communication protocols
Preferred:
Experience with
FPGA/CPLD or HDL (VHDL/Verilog)
Familiarity with
analog and power electronics
Knowledge of
industry standards (IPC, UL, CSA)
Experience designing for
harsh or industrial environments
