Full-Time Days - Monday - Friday 7am-3pm

The Designated Coordinator is responsible to supervise services for people with disabilities within one or more specific programs. The Designated Coordinator will supervise services for one to four consumers and may supervise several locations. The Designated Coordinator is responsible for direct care and support services for consumers in their assigned designated(s) staffing, financial management, physical plant, and consumer and community relations.
Schedules are assigned by the District Manager and must remain flexible to allow for direct supervision of services during all hours and all shifts. Designated Coordinators must be available at all hours to respond in the event of an emergency. Additional, non-scheduled hours may be required.
The Designated Coordinator is a supervisor and is responsible for the supervision of Assistant Designated Coordinators, Direct Care Staff, and other service personnel assigned. Above all, the Designated Coordinator is responsible to protect and promote the health, safety, and well-being of the people served. The Designated Coordinator is paid hourly and is typically a full time position. Hours are based on the needs of the consumers and the home.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred and 18 years of age older
One year serving people with developmental disabilities
CPR/First Aid (provided)
Crisis intervention training (provided)
Physical Requirements
Works primarily in the program location, with occasional outdoor/community activities
Frequent sitting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, standing, crawling, reaching, walking, driving, traveling, kneeling, and crouching
Other Requirements
Skilled in written and oral communication, community relations and service development.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of behavior management principles, designated development, and monitoring techniques.
Demonstrated ability in areas of leadership, personnel, employee training, and public relations.
Valid driver's license and driving record that meets insurability requirements as defined by the Company's insurance carrier.
Knowledge and understanding of applicable Federal and State regulations.
Eligible as determined by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Department of Human Services.
Also qualifies with the following:
4 year degree and 1 year FTE direct care
2 year degree and 2 years FTE direct care
Diploma (accredited postsecondary) and 3 years FTE direct care
