Description
Essential Job Functions
• Mows greens, tees, collars, approaches to greens and fairways with a walking mower.
• Mows lake banks, trap edges and other areas with fly mowers.
• Rakes, shovels, and removes all debris including grass clippings, leaves, tree limbs and other debris.
• Blows debris off courses, grounds and paths using a backpack blower.
• Edges cart paths using hand-held mechanical equipment.
• Operates all types of golf course equipment including manual tools, mechanized handheld, and driving equipment, including heavy machinery.
• Moves 50 lb. bags or containers of mulch, fertilizers and pesticides.
• Rakes traps manually and with mechanized equipment.
• Repairs ball marks on greens and tee and fairway divots.
• Mechanical removal of weeds.
• Removes sod with shovel; lays new sod.
• Checks fuel levels before leaving the shop.
• Properly cleans of all equipment after use.
• Cleans shop according to the designated schedule.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
• Mows greens, tees, collars, approaches to greens and fairways with a driving mower.
• Excavates trenches for irrigation, drainage, root pruning, etc.
• Course setup (changing of the cups and daily moving of tee markers.)
• Top dresses greens and tees.
Requirements
Skills & Knowledge:
Ability to understand and interpret directions and company policies and procedures.
Load or transport 50 lbs. and mow per standard operating procedures.
Prior experience not required.
Playing knowledge of the game preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Extensive physical activity, strenuous physical work and heavy lifting.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, squat and kneel, for 8 hours or more daily.
Ability to move, push, pull and/or carry objects over 50 pounds.
