Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: McLean, Virginia
Type: Contract To Hire
Contractor Work Model: Remote - offsite
Responsibilities
Create tests that identify issues with product software and infrastructure prior to launch
Develop test strategy and plans, test data, and automate testing procedures
Track and report software defects and analyze root causes
Support testing across all phases of the software development lifecycle including integration, system, performance, regression, UAT, disaster recovery, and end-to-end testing
Lead automation efforts and integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines such as Github Actions, Code Fresh, and DevSecOps processes
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
At least 4 years of experience in quality assurance or testing supporting enterprise computing platforms
Minimum 2 years supporting workloads on AWS with manual and automated testing skills
Proficient in testing tools such as Selenium, Apache JMeter, Jira, and scripting languages like Python/Django
Experience with cloud infrastructure, AWS services, and DevSecOps practices
Deep understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile methodologies and experience implementing these in projects
Ability to plan, automate, execute tests, and evaluate cloud and software performance
Excellent collaboration, mentorship, communication, and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework and relevant testing standards
