Join Our Team as a Pharmacy Patient Financial Advocate!
Are you passionate about making a difference in patients' lives while navigating complex insurance and billing processes? We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Patient Financial Advocate to serve as a vital link between patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. In this role, you will ensure seamless financial interactions, facilitate prior authorizations, and assist patients with medication assistance programs-contributing directly to improved health outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 1+ years' experience in insurance billing, revenue cycle management, and prior authorizations
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record systems
Strong communication skills and professionalism
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Nice to Have Skills:
Pharmacy technician licensed or certification (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience in pharmacy or medication assistance programs
Preferred Education and Experience:
High School diploma with at least 3 years relevant work experience, or
Associate's degree in healthcare or related field with 1+ year of relevant experience
Other Requirements:
Onsite training at University of Kansas - Southlake Campus for 3 months, with potential for hybrid work afterward
Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Ability to adapt to a nicotine-free environment
No weekend, on-call, or holiday shifts required
Willingness to attend orientation at KU main campus every Monday and Tuesday
This opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $35.
