PROJECT MANAGER/PROGRAM MANAGER (ONSITE/SAN JOSE, CA)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:
- The Finance Business Process Expert role is centered on driving end-to-end efficiency improvements across core finance processes. Primary initiatives include reimagining Accounts - Payable operations and optimizing financial close activities, with a potential third initiative related to fixed assets or FP&A support. The role spans discovery, analysis, redesign, and implementation of process improvements within a complex, global manufacturing environment.
- Lead strategic Finance transformation programs and end-to-end project delivery from definition through execution, adoption and value realization.
- Partner with executive sponsors and Finance leadership to define scope, success metrics, timelines, resourcing and governance.
- Apply structured program and project management practices to plan, execute, monitor and de-risk multi-phase initiatives.
- Proactively identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues; escalate as needed.
- Lead process initiatives embedded within programs, including defining scope, success measures, and improvement opportunities.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to track delivery progress, process performance and business impact.
- Coordinate cross functional team0073 and vendors to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Facilitate cross-functional process reviews and improvement efforts to reduce pain points.
- Drive change management activities, including communication, training, UAT coordination, and operational readiness.
- Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes clearly to senior leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of experience in SAP S4 finance transformation, program/project management, or process driven initiatives
- Strong SAP S/4 HANA implementation experience
- Proven track record leading large, cross functional programs with measurable results
- Experience leading initiatives that include process improvement and operational change
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred (Green Belt considered with strong leadership experience)
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience with Business Finance systems and reporting/analytics platforms
- Strong ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels in a matrixed organization
- Experience with finance platforms and analytics/reporting ecosystems (e.g. ERP Finance, close/reconciliation tooling, BI/data platforms) as relevant to your environment
