Overview
Seeking a proactive
Information Security Engineer
to support cybersecurity governance initiatives within a large, regulated enterprise environment. This role blends
security, data analysis, and light development/scripting , with a strong focus on
SQL, logging, and operational support .
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret
security logs and data
to support cybersecurity initiatives
Write and optimize
SQL queries
to extract, validate, and analyze data
Understand and translate
business requirements into data-driven insights
Support security-related projects with
documentation and coordination
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering and business units
Utilize tools like
GitHub and Copilot
for development and automation support
Assist with process improvements and drive efficiency across workflows
Contribute to project tracking, timelines, and deliverables
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in
Information Security, Software Engineering, or Network Engineering
Background in
application development OR network support with scripting
Strong experience writing
SQL queries
and understanding data use cases
Knowledge of
security logging and monitoring concepts
Experience in
large enterprise / regulated environments
Familiarity with
GitHub
and modern development practices
Strong documentation and communication skills
Self-starter with ability to manage work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Basic
Python or scripting skills
Understanding of
cybersecurity fundamentals
Experience with
automation tools or AI-assisted development (e.g., Copilot)
Exposure to
project management or coordination responsibilities
