Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Guidewire BillingCenter Developer in Lake Mary, FL.Summary:We are seeking a Guidewire BillingCenter Developer to design, customize, and support billing solutions within the Guidewire InsuranceSuite platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and configuring BillingCenter, integrating it with upstream and downstream systems, and supporting billing workflows across policy, account, and financial processes. This role partners closely with business analysts, QA, and integration teams to deliver scalable, high-quality insurance billing solutions.Key Responsibilities:Guidewire Development & Configuration:
Design, develop, and customize Guidewire BillingCenter components using Gosu and Guidewire configuration tools
Configure billing plans, payment methods, invoicing, delinquency, write-off, and collections processes
Develop enhancements using PCF, typelists, rules, workflows, and product model configurations as needed
Integration & Data Flow:Build and support integrations between BillingCenter and external systems, including:
PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter
Financial systems (e.g., general ledger, payment gateways)
Data warehouses and reporting platforms
Develop and maintain web services (SOAP/REST), batch processes, and messaging frameworks
Testing, Support & Optimization:
Participate in unit, system, and user acceptance testing to ensure billing functionality aligns with business requirements
Troubleshoot production issues and support defect resolution across environments
Optimize billing performance, batch jobs, and data processing workflows
Collaboration & Delivery:
Collaborate with business analysts to translate billing requirements into technical designs
Work closely with QA and release teams to support deployment and post-release validation
Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and development best practices
Skills
3+ years of Guidewire BillingCenter development experience (or equivalent Guidewire platform experience)
Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based delivery environments
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Client-focused mindset with attention to quality and detail
Experience with:
PCF, rules, workflows, and typelists
Web services (SOAP/REST)
Batch processing
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter development and configuration
Strong proficiency in Gosu and Guidewire InsuranceSuite architecture
Preferred Qualifications:
Guidewire certification(s) in BillingCenter or InsuranceSuite
Experience with cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, Guidewire Cloud Platform)
Experience supporting integrations with PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter preferred
Knowledge of insurance billing concepts such as invoicing, payments, disbursements, delinquency, and collections
Experience with insurance carriers or system integrators
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
