to help with a large Data Warehousing Reporting & Analytics project.
Senior Manual QA Tester with strong SQL (BigQuery) skills, Data Warehouse & dashboard testing experience (Tableau), GCP proficiency, prior development background, and excellent communication in Agile environments
Location:
Remote is acceptable. Preference for candidates local to
Atlanta, New York, or Chicago.
Duration:
12 + months.

Notes:
QA + Coding Background:
Candidates must be comfortable writing SQL in BigQuery to validate data, test table functions, and recreate test data. This is not traditional unit testing-we need full QA process understanding without reliance on third-party automation tools.
BigQuery Hands-On:
Must be proficient in GCP BigQuery. Past candidates have claimed experience but failed to answer basic questions or explain code.
Microsoft Teams/Interview Process:
Round 1:
Technical/QA-focused with live code review (candidates will be asked to spot mistakes in sample code).
Round 2:
Development team assesses BigQuery and development skills.
Must Haves:
8+ years of relevant programming and/or analytics experience - must have worked as a QA and developer before.
3+ years of experience with software testing techniques in Datawarehouse reporting & dashboards.
Good experience with Tableau and dashboard testing / Reports testing.
Prior experience in support & operations is a must.
Experience in relational databases ( GCP,
Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Proven experience testing in GCP environments/ if possible, even developing.
Knowledge of analytic tools and methods / Testing (OLAP, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Tableau).
Good communication skills and ability to self-supervise, ability to perform independent research.
Demonstrated good data analysis skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Agile experience
Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced environment.
Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
Agile experience.
Openness to embrace new challenges and show willingness to go the extra mile.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and interpret documented technical requirements and test reports / dashboards provided against the requirements
Testing database software components (procedures, packages, functions, etc.) that meet documented requirements.
Identify functional test cases required to validate software components, execute and confirm development accuracy against requirements.
Responsible for creating test data to ensure proper testing coverage
