Athletic Trainer

to join our team!

The Athletic Trainer provides athletic training services to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Evaluates, treats and plans patient care in accordance with Athletic Training standards, considering the needs of the patient as it pertains to the age and diagnosis of the patient. Incorporates patient and family education. Provides documentation for all the above.

Position will cover the local schools during the school year and cover the local WI Rapids Rafters baseball team in the summer (plus attend weightlifting and offseason practices at schools). There is plenty of opportunity during the summer to still get fulltime hours!

HOURS:

Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. Day shift.

This is an hourly position with mileage reimbursement.

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of athletic training standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a minimum of a bachelor's degree in athletic training from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
Current Wisconsin licensure to practice athletic training.
Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. Current AED certification.
Clinical Specialist certification is beneficial.
Possesses a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
Possesses automobile liability insurance with minimum $100,000/$300,000 coverage required.
