Salary: $2,221.01 - $2,421.01 /wk Become a vital part of a hospital team in Oakes, ND as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials as indicated, operate CT equipment, perform general radiography and mobile imaging as needed, and send studies to radiologists for interpretation while completing required documentation in the electronic health record. Minimum Requirements: CT and general radiography experience required. Candidate must have documented experience performing CT scans and general x-ray exams, including mobile x-ray and C-arm use. Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R). NDMIRT acceptable where applicable. BLS certification. Experience starting IVs for contrast administration. Experience with MEDITECH charting and McKesson PACS preferred. Familiarity with Toshiba CT systems, Siemens general/mobile x-ray, and GE C-arm preferred. Ability to float between CT and general x-ray coverage as required by the department. Orientation requirement: 4-8 shifts of unit-specific orientation or until clinically competent to take call independently. Previous travel experience preferred but not required. Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital. Shift: Days. Schedule: 4 shifts per week; typical posted hours 7:30 AM-5:00 PM. Call requirement: Rotating on-call nights, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response expectation. Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week. Orientation hours: 12 hours scheduled; 4-8 unit-specific shifts. Charting system: MEDITECH. PACS: McKesson. Department equipment: 1 fixed CT scanner, mobile x-ray, general x-ray, mammography unit, and C-arm. Location Highlights Oakes, ND is a small, rural community with easy access to outdoor recreation and regional centers. The town sits within driving distance to the Sheyenne River Valley State Park area and is approximately 1.5-2 hours from the larger regional city of Fargo, offering urban amenities and an international airport. The area provides access to hunting and fishing opportunities, seasonal snowmobiling routes, and local parks within a short drive, supporting a quiet, small-town lifestyle with straightforward commutes and a family-friendly pace. Additional Information Scrubs are not provided by the facility. The department does not have a radiologist on-site. There is no Radiology Supervisor or lead tech assigned to every shift. Registered Radiology Assistants are not used. The department handles an average of about 20 exams per weekday and primarily performs general exams consistent with a rural hospital population.
