Neurosurgery NP / PA | First Assist | High Autonomy | Atlanta, GA
Atlanta, GA | Full-Time
If you’re an NP or PA looking for more than just clinic work, this is a rare opportunity to step into a true hybrid neurosurgery role.
Join a highly respected neurosurgeon in a fast‑paced, team‑driven practice where you’ll be hands‑on in both the clinic and the OR. This is not a shadowing role. You’ll have real responsibility, real autonomy, and direct involvement in patient care and surgical cases.
What you’ll do:
Run outpatient visits including evaluations, consults, and follow‑ups
First assist in the OR every other week
Round on postoperative and inpatient neurosurgery patients
Collaborate directly with the physician on care plans
Support continuity of care across clinic and hospital
Schedule:
Alternating weeks: clinic vs OR
Weekend rounding only if patients are in‑house
No traditional call
Primarily cranial neurosurgery with some spine
What we’re looking for:
Strong clinical foundation (neurosurgery experience preferred, not required)
Confident, independent thinker
Organized and able to handle a fast‑paced environment
Team‑oriented with a high level of accountability
Details:
EMR: Cerner
Competitive compensation + bonus structure in progress
Full benefits, malpractice covered, CME included
This is a high‑impact role for someone who wants to grow quickly, be challenged, and play a key part in a neurosurgery practice.
