Ammunition Inspector Supervisor
Duties As an Ammunition Inspector Supervisor, you will plan, assign, direct, and supervise the work of personnel executing ammunition inspections, explosive handling, and transportation operations. Investigate, document, and report work-related problems, incidents, and accidents, determines causes, and implements corrective actions within delegated authority to resolve work problems such as safety hazards, equipment deficiencies, and/or problems resulting in low productivity. Develop performance standards, counsels' employees on performance, and completes interim performance and finalize formal and informal performance appraisals. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements Conditions of employment

This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Qualifications APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Non-bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at USPFO Supply and Services Division AOC 2: NG employees in the USPFO (This includes Internal Revenue, Contracting, Resource Management, and DPI) AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes Traditional Airmen, Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel) Military Grades: OFFICER O1-O5 WARRANT OFFICER WO1-CW5 ENLISTED E7-E9 Supervisor for this position is LTC Ludlow GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to use and maintain tools and equipment associated with the type of work to be done, and to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Experience which demonstrates the knowledge of and the ability to apply safety standards. Experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled. SPECIAL NOTE: Per the Merit Promotion and Placement Plan (MPP) if there are more than 15 qualified applicants for each position, by category, a KSA board will be convened in accordance with Chapter 4 of the MPP.
