Janitor
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across facility spaces. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. The Janitor performs daily cleaning duties, minor maintenance tasks, and responds to service requests as needed.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, hallways, and other common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors using appropriate equipment and materials.
Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and other waste materials.
Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs and reporting facility issues.
Follow safety procedures and use cleaning agents according to guidelines.
Support setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or facility functions.
Other Duties as Assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Prior janitorial or custodial experience helpful but not required.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow safety instructions.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
