Order Picker

This role focuses on accurately picking and moving orders within a large warehouse using powered industrial equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, and stand-up forklifts. You will receive equipment training and work primarily with order picking sheets that contain numbers and basic English text to ensure products are selected from the correct locations.
Responsibilities

Operate a cherry picker to locate and pick orders from designated warehouse locations.
Use reach trucks, reach forklifts, and stand-up forklifts to move, stage, and organize materials safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret order picking sheets, including numbers and basic English text, to ensure accurate product selection.
Perform order picking and material handling tasks to support warehouse distribution operations.
Handle inventory carefully to minimize damage and maintain product quality.
Work at heights while using order picking equipment in a safe and confident manner.
Support general warehouse tasks as needed, including organizing stock and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Follow all safety procedures and equipment guidelines during material handling and equipment operation.
Essential Skills

Experience operating a cherry picker or similar order picking equipment.
Experience with reach trucks or reach forklifts in a warehouse environment.
Ability to operate stand-up forklifts safely and effectively.
Proficiency in order picking and material handling within a warehouse distribution setting.
Ability to read English on order picking sheets, especially numbers and basic instructions.
Comfort working at heights while operating order picking equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and start contributing quickly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bilingual language skills, including Spanish, are highly beneficial.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a warehouse team.
Willingness to learn and participate in equipment training and safety practices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
