Executive Assistant to Founder at Early-stage Boutique VC

Bloom Talent, Santa Barbara, CA, United States

Executive Assistant

Venture firm focused on early-stage, growth-oriented investments, and founded by a well-known tech entrepreneur, is looking for an Executive Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a tight-knit, small team focused on doing meaningful work. In this role, you'll support the Founder, own calendar and scheduling management, travel coordination, communication follow-up and management, coordination with the family office, light personal support, and some firm operations support. Someone who works well independently, takes pride in providing high-quality work with a do-whatever-it-takes mentality. This is a hybrid role, ideally someone based in the Santa Barbara/Ventura area or LA who is able to meet with the Founder a few days/week.
Responsibilities:
Manage a complex calendar for the Founder & CEO, including scheduling internal and external meetings across shifting priorities, resolving conflicts proactively, and keeping the Founder's days running cleanly.
Coordinate domestic and international travel logistics, including research, booking, and itinerary management for both commercial and private travel.
Monitor communications, assist with follow-ups, and proactively flag action items to help ensure timely execution.
Partner with external stakeholders, advisors, and service providers to coordinate time-sensitive or high-priority matters.
Support light operational and administrative coordination across a small team, helping keep projects, meetings, and priorities organized.
Provide light coordination support as needed, including handling personal logistics, reservations, research, and ad hoc requests.
Qualifications:
3+ years of previous experience as an Executive Assistant supporting a senior executive, founder, or principal in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
Background in venture capital, private investment, family office, or similarly high-touch environments is strongly preferred.
Highly polished, service-oriented, and proactive, with strong judgment and a white-glove approach to support.
Comfortable handling both professional and personal responsibilities with discretion, flexibility, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Team-player, adaptable, and willing to take ownership of a wide range of tasks, including those that may fall outside a traditional executive assistant scope.
Comfortable operating in an environment where priorities may shift quickly, and the line between personal and professional support may be fluid.
Thrives in a remote, independent work environment and is highly responsive across email, Slack, text, and other communication channels.
*Please Note: Your application will be considered for all open positions. You do not need to apply for multiple roles.
