Dispatch Agent

We have an exciting opportunity for a Dispatch Agent to support and coordinate the daily operational activities of customer accounts. This position will be based at the Laredo, TX location.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinate and monitor daily dispatch activities for inbound and outbound shipments
Communicate shipment status updates to internal teams, carriers, and customers
Schedule, assign, and track drivers and equipment to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries
Review customer requests and service requirements and allocate resources accordingly
Prepare and update dispatch records in computerized systems including logs, delivery tickets, orders, and tracking tools
Ensure all shipments comply with established procedures, regulations, and safety standards
Maintain visibility on freight movements and proactively address delays, exceptions, and service issues
Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure shipments are prepared and staged for dispatch
Support inventory accuracy by ensuring correct documentation and timely system updates
Utilize radio, phone, and digital communication systems to relay instructions to drivers
May assist with customer service inquiries related to shipment status and troubleshooting
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and requirements include:
Strong communication and customer service skills
Dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation operations experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
Familiarity with freight forwarding, warehouse operations, or trucking industry preferred
Proficient in computer systems, data entry, and shipment tracking tools
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Able to sit, stand, and use communication equipment for extended periods
Pay range: $18.00/hr. in accordance with the CBA

Compensation:

Competitive base salary plus role dependent performance-based incentives.
