Project Controls Specialist
This Project Controls Specialist role supports complex programs for a nationally recognized, Employee Owned, Kansas Citybased engineering and construction firm. You will support schedule and cost controls, client-facing reporting, and data-driven insights that help project teams deliver on key milestones.
Key responsibilities include maintaining program reporting tools and data, producing clear, client-facing program controls reports, supporting the use and configuration of planning and controls software, creating and maintaining WBS-based schedules, preparing, documenting, and presenting cost, forecast, and cash flow reports, supporting Earned Value Management (EVM) report reviews, performing quality reviews of project controls deliverables, monitoring resource loading and progress measurement, conducting field audits to validate reporting accuracy, and supporting interactive planning meetings.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field plus 3+ years of direct project controls experience, demonstrated experience in project controls including scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and reporting on complex projects/programs, proficiency with Primavera P6 or a similar scheduling platform, strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel), and strong communication skills.
Work environment is collaborative, professional program delivery that blends office-based analysis with occasional field visits for audits and data validation. Job type and location is a contract to hire position based out of Kansas City, MO. Pay range is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.
