
Paint Prepper-3rd Shift

Paint Prepper
Under general supervision, the Paint Prepper performs a variety of support duties within the Paint Department to ensure equipment and components are properly prepared for the painting process.
Essential Job Functions
Clean, mask, and sand units in preparation for painting.
Unmask finished units, clean surfaces, and load spare parts after the drying process is completed.
Apply sanding primer using a spray gun as required.
Load and unload spare parts, tools, and boom hoses from trucks.
Move slurry parts to final preparation areas and/or paint booths.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while following department procedures and safety guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, removed, or modified at the discretion of management, either formally or informally, in writing or verbally.
Physical Demands
Perform work on the production floor 100% of the time.
Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the production area during the shift.
Education / Skills / Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum
12 years of experience
as a detailer or prep technician in a
paint or auto body shop environment
preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
Certified forklift operator
or ability to successfully complete Schwing forklift training .
Ability to follow safety procedures and departmental work instructions.
Sunday through Thursday 8pm-5:30pm
