Line Lead
Step into a leadership role and help drive production success. As a Line Lead, you'll oversee daily operations on assigned production lines or processing areas, supporting the department supervisor with workforce coordination and workflow execution. You'll play a hands-on role in keeping production running safely, efficiently, and on schedule while helping guide and support team members on the floor. Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee work at various stations along the production lines processing pork food products.
Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing, and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management related matters.
Ensure that the qualities of the products are met according to the product specifications of QA and USDA.
Ensure that all equipment throughout the departments is running smoothly.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
Lead and train line team members.
Monitor production lines for efficiency and quality.
Implement safety protocols and report incidents.
Maintain accurate records and reports.
Control labor and material costs.
Minimum Education and Experience
Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.
Preferred Education and Experience
High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50db to 110 db.
May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm. Able to stand for several hours.
Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
