What You'll Bring:
Current Louisiana PTA license and relevant certifications (e.g., BLS).
Minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience, preferably in specialty settings.
Strong ability to independently manage caseloads across various patient types.
Excellent teamwork skills, with experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as EPIC and Wellsky.
Ability to adapt to diverse clinical environments, including inpatient rehab, acute care, outpatient, and skilled nursing.
Nice to Have:
Experience with additional certifications like ACLS, NIHSS.
Familiarity with Meditech Expanse or similar charting systems.
Prior experience working with complex or medically fragile patients.
Flexibility in handling a variety of patient diagnoses, from spinal cord injuries to orthopedic and neuro conditions.
Preferred Education and Experience:
A current Louisiana Physical Therapist Assistant license.
At least one year of specialized experience in inpatient rehab, acute care, outpatient, or skilled nursing settings.
Prior travel experience is a plus but not mandatory; we will consider capable first-time travelers on a case-by-case basis.
Other Requirements:
Attend hospital and departmental orientations to ensure seamless integration into the team.
Work scheduled hours from 8:00 am to approximately 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
No weekend coverage required for outpatient; inpatient and acute care settings may include occasional weekend or monthly on-call duties.
No holiday coverage necessary.
Complete full orientation (~2-3 days) and manage caseload confidently by the end of the week.
Supportive supervision from department leaders, peers, and the assistant director.
Department-specific equipment includes EMR systems such as Meditech Expanse and Wellsky; no facility-floating involved.
Dress professionally in pewter scrubs for inpatient or business casual for outpatient settings. Free parking provided.
