The Quality Inspector II is responsible for verifying and validating whether products or services meet specified requirements involved in all phases of the Quality Assurance Inspection processes.
This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Quality Assurance and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. This is a weekend shift, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6am - 6:30pm. This position reports to the Quality Control Inspection Manager.
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Perform final dimensional and visual inspections for all value streams as well as Receiving Inspection. This includes inspecting incoming parts to ensure they carry approved documentation and certifications and that they meet Purchase Order requirements
Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, documentation and customer requirements; perform inspections on complex, close tolerance machined parts and sub-assemblies with critical internal and external dimensions using all forms of conventional inspection equipment including CMM, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, optical comparator, height gauges, ring gauges, pin gauges, etc.
Participate in Quality Problem Resolution including writing nonconformances and work closely with the Quality Engineer to implement Corrective Actions.
The essential requirements of the job include:
High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) and at least two (2) years of inspection experience in an Aerospace, Military, or Machining Manufacturing in an ISO9001 / AS9100 environment.
Experience interpreting complex engineering part drawings, blue-print reading, and working with Aerospace Customer Flow Downs.
Proficient in computer skills in Microsoft Office and an ERP system such as SAP. Skilled with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparator, oscilloscopes, vision systems and other precision instruments.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Able to work overtime and flexible hours to meet deliverable deadlines.
Required Lifting Weight: 35 lbs. Lifting Frequency: Daily. Bend/lift/sit/stand for long periods of time. Demonstration of good manual dexterity along with good hand / eye coordination. Must have a minimum of a 20/25 vision (with correction). Successfully pass the Ishihara's Test for Color Deficiency, and Jaeger Level 1 eye examinations per PACS-PQ-0029.
