General Production Worker

The Production Line Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines used in the production of high-quality plastic films. You will ensure the efficient operation of the production line, ensuring that all products meet quality standards while maintaining safety and environmental compliance.
Ensure the Roll quality is to specification, layer counts are accurate, and Quality technicians have approved. Stamp core legibly, and arrows are facing the correct direction on the spindle shaft. Manually lift rolls from spindles, place them on scale for weighing and stack finished rolls. Recording of production weights, layer counts, and production problems on the production report. Ensure that empty gaylord skids are available for change when full gaylords are ready. General housekeeping and maintenance of your production area. Monitor production line operation and report interruptions immediately with public address system. Handle all production rolls with care to not damage the edges or face. Abide by the Kosher procedures in place. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Operate machines according to production specifics. Operate machines efficiently to produce high-quality plastic films, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Monitor and adjust machine settings such as speed, to maintain product quality. Maintain proper stock levels of materials and notify the supervisor when inventory is low. Continuously monitor film quality during production, inspecting for visual defects.
Day Shift: 7a-7p 21/hr rotating 3-4-4-3 @ $21/hr. Night Shift: 7p-7a 22.75/hr rotating 3-4-4-3 @ $22.75/hr (Must train first few days on day shift). Orientation is held on Mondays during the morning.
Will work on the manufacturing floor 100% of the time. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sutton, MA. The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.75/hr.
