Job Opportunity
Physicians' Clinic of Iowa's Department of Urology is seeking a fulltime Certified Medical Assistant/LPN/RN for their growing practice.
Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Prepare patients for examinations.
Assist provider with in-office procedures.
Prepare and administer vaccines and injections.
General nursing duties including maintaining records of vitals and other pertinent patient data
Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care.
Record and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic test results, including patient communication.
Manage patient communication, including returning phone calls, answering questions, scheduling tests/procedures, changes in medications, and coordinating prescription refills.
Qualifications:
Medical certification/license is required.
CPR certification is required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
