Tailor Shop Production And Operations

Efficiently perform standard alterations - including but not limited to pant hems, waist and seat adjustments, rise and tapering modifications, coat sleeves, side seams, and lower collar adjustments - in alignment with company guidelines. Maintain an average of 60 minutes of productive alteration work per working hour, allowing for appropriate rest and meal periods and time for non-tailoring tasks as needed. Ensure all garments meet high-quality standards, including clean finishes, secure stitching, even seams, and the removal of loose threads and pins. Press garments to ensure a clean crisp finish. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace; ensure all tools and materials are properly stored and well-maintained. Demonstrate proficiency with all tailor shop equipment. Ensure completed work is accurately tagged, organized, and ready for customer pickup. Assist with inventory management by monitoring tailoring supplies and requesting replenishment from management as needed. Support front-of-house activities as needed, such as cleaning, restocking merchandise, or assisting customers. Participate in customer consultations at the direction of management, offering guidance and recommendations on alterations and garment fit. Deliver an exceptional customer experience by listening to customer needs and offering personalized solutions. Ability to operate small tools and equipment - including, but not limited to, needles, scissors, sewing machines, and presses, with precision. Ability to understand, follow, and execute detailed instructions. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Strong attention to detail to ensure all garments meet quality standards. Excellent time management skills to complete each alteration efficiently within designated timeframes. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to read, count, and write to complete required documentation accurately. Physically able to bend, squat, lift arms overhead, and use ladders to access merchandise and supplies stored above shoulder level. Ability to work at least 40 hours per week when needed, including any hours the store is in operation.
