Quality Inspector

Perform dimensional and visual inspections of aircraft details, machine parts, and assemblies. Conduct thorough reviews of manufacturing documentation and quality records to ensure compliance with customer requirements. Work under the direction of the Supervisor, Inspection.
Responsibilities

Work from applicable drawings, specifications, bubble drawings, first article inspection reports, work instructions, vendor instructions, or other documentation using inspection tools and gages.
Visually inspect the condition of materials or parts.
Utilize equipment such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, height gages, pin gages, dial indicators, portable coordinate measuring devices, hardness testers, conductivity meters, and various other precision measuring devices for inspections.
Assist in determining inspection techniques and methods for appropriate inspection applications.
Clearly define nonconforming conditions, noting engineering requirements, 'as is' conditions, and variations from nominal, and prepare rejection documentation.
Report any unusual circumstances, conditions, or defective material to the supervisor or group leader.
Participate in root cause identification and corrective action development as required.
Engage in company internal audits and support customer audits.
Comply with Quality System procedures and company policies.
Bring anomalies to the attention of your supervisor.
Work in a cell environment and perform duties not necessarily detailed in the job description but within the scope of the job classification.
Maintain records as instructed or required.
Perform other duties as needed.
Essential Skills

Experience in visual inspection and quality checks.
Proficiency in CMM and FARO inspections.
Experience with quality testing tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gages.
Close attention to detail.
Experience in quality inspection within the manufacturing or aviation sectors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Preferably 3+ years of experience.
Specialized skills in CMM, DQR, or NDI are advantageous.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
