What You Will Be Doing
As the Machine Rollback Driver you will operate larger delivery vehicles (excluding tractor trailer combinations) and will be responsible for the delivery and pickup of Yancey Bros. Co. equipment and assets. Deliveries may be made to other Yancey Bros. Co. locations or directly to customer job sites. This role also includes conducting pre- and post-delivery inspections, accurately documenting all drop-offs and pickups, and providing basic equipment familiarization to customers at the delivery location.
Primary Responsibilities:
Safely operate assigned delivery vehicles, including rollback and single-axle roll-back trucks, in accordance with all company policies and safety regulations.
Maintain a safe driving record and adhere to all safety procedures related to vehicle operation, equipment loading/unloading, and the consistent use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain accurate written and electronic DOT logbooks to ensure full regulatory compliance at all times.
Perform safe and secure loading and unloading of equipment onto assigned vehicles.
Conduct thorough pre- and post-delivery inspections of all equipment, including verification of safe operation and cleanliness prior to leaving the yard.
Capture clear digital photographs of equipment prior to delivery and during pickup, including documentation of any visible or suspected damage at customer locations.
Inspect equipment at customer sites prior to pickup to confirm safe operating condition and identify any customer-related damage.
Obtain required customer signatures and proof of delivery documentation for all deliveries and pickups.
Provide customers with a basic operational overview and equipment familiarization upon delivery.
Deliver a high level of customer service by maintaining a professional attitude, collaborating effectively with internal team members, and representing Yancey Brothers in a positive manner to external customers.
Additional Responsibilities:
Employee may be required to submit to customer security requirements including but not limited to additional background checks, drug tests, and provide additional identification.
This position requires tools the company does not provide. Employee must have the tools to perform the jobs assigned.
Education/Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
Must have 1
3 years industry experience.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Must be 23-years-old or older.
Valid, active CDL license. Class B or greater preferred.
3+ years of experience as a driver for heavy equipment transportation, general professional freight carrier, or heavy-duty trucking (e.g., wrecker, mobile crane).
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to:
Road Test administered by Yancey Bros. Co. personnel.
Background check and MVR with less than 10 points.

Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR
383.5 or 49 CFR

Ability to manage electronic log books and delivery software via electronic tablets.
Capable and competent of operating and loading a variety of machines onto assigned transport vehicle.

Environment may include vibrations, strong odors, moving mechanical parts, exposure to electrical shock, flammable liquids and gases, oils and solvents, working on platforms or equipment over 4 feet from the ground. Appropriate PPE maybe required and mandated by Yancey Bros. Co. or the customer.
