Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including detailed physical examinations and comprehensive medical history reviews
Support the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical conditions through precise interpretation of imaging studies and laboratory results
Work collaboratively with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
Provide essential intraoperative assistance, prepping operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments during procedures
Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education
Education
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Experience in clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgical practice is highly preferred
Certifications
Current and unrestricted certification as PA-C
Required certifications in BLS and ACLS
State licensure or eligibility to practice as a Physician Assistant
