Warehouse Associate I

*Please note that this is a short term, temporary position expected to last 2 months*
The role, at a glance: The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for packaging and preparing outgoing shipments, through assisting internal teams, to ensure that demand is fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner, as well as receiving product on the dock. Compensation for this role is $18.00 per hour.
How you'll contribute:
Transact customer orders using ERP system
Provide quality control inspections, as necessary, within the workflow
Pick product for shipping, ensuring all required items are picked and ready for packaging
Affix packaging labels to cartons
Receive product, processing into the system as well as unloading trailers
Take an accurate inventory count of finished goods and materials, as assigned
Converting products into bundles, kits and re-packages
You'll also support with:
Maintaining good communication and rapport with co-workers
Ensuring designated warehouse areas are kept organized and neat
Keeping Lead and/or supervisor informed of issues on the warehouse floor
Other duties as assigned
A successful candidate should have:
0-1-year experience in general warehouse duties including; receiving, packaging, and shipping
Must be able to work Monday through Friday shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Must be able to obtain Forklift certification within the first three months of employment
Ability to adjust work pace in response to daily needs
Maintain good communication and rapport with co-workers
Able to be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
Must be able to communicate clearly in English including both written and verbal skills
Basic Computer Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
Ability to learn new software applications including navigating through ERP systems preferred
Attendance is a critical function of this position
Work Environment:
Warehouse and Manufacturing environment
Ability to lift 15 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. periodically with assistance
Stand or sit for long periods
Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bending
Use tools that require fine hand skills
Visually observe, and differentiate, small moving parts
Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areas
