Master Tailor
Salary Range $29.48 - $36.86*
Reporting to the Alterations Manager, the Master Tailor is responsible for producing high quality altered merchandise within established time frame standards while providing customer service, establishing and helping to maintain customer relationships and working effectively with other team members within the store.

Model all Saks Global Customer Service Principles.
Focus on achieving and exceeding individual performance and productivity goals.
Maintain a consistent high level of customer service by creating and developing excellent customer relationships.
Follow all Saks Global policies and procedures.
Follow all alteration workroom policies and procedures.
Ability to utilize expertise to make garment construction decisions during the alteration process.
Focus on all efforts on providing an exceptional customer experience.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Support company/store and department initiatives.
Ensure highest quality of altered garments.
Ad hoc responsibilities as needed
What You Will Bring:
Minimum 7+ years fine tailoring and Made To Measure (MTM) experience in high-end merchandise
Ability to tailor and press a wide range of garments
Technical background in specialty skills such as: leather, double face, complex tailoring, fur, functional and imitation buttonholes etc.
Ability to take measurements and compete MTM forms on all garment types
Ability to draft or drape patterns and create custom garments
Pressing and spotting skills
Knowledge of Alterations industry including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise
An openness to learning and developing new skills and processes

The hourly pay rate for this position is between $29.48 - $36.86 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
