Interstate Waste Services is the most progressive and innovative provider of solid waste and recycling services in the country! We primarily service Northern New Jersey, Southern New York State, New York City, with a landfill located in Ohio, where we also own and operate a state-of-the-art rail-served landfill. Essential Job Summary:
Facility MRF Control Panel Operator at Newark MRF facility plays a vital role in the recycling process by operating various recycling machines inside MRF facility. This position emphasizes attention to detail, and a commitment to safety while working in a dynamic environment. The role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the recycling industry, contributing to the company's sustainability efforts
Essential Job Functions:
Understanding of MRF Facility operations and Facility material flow.
Understanding and ability to operate MRF equipment control panels
Communication via 2-way radio to other MRF control panel operators, supervisors and operators.
Understanding and proficiency in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Follow company safety procedures and enforce safety policies.
Ability to climb ladders up to 10'
Ability to clean and follow daily machine maintenance and cleaning guidelines
Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be able to work inside and outside, lift 50 lbs,. High school diploma required.
