Join a manufacturing leader with a 75-year legacy. We are seeking a precision-focused Tool and Die Maker to bridge the gap between die design and production. You will be responsible for fabricating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the high-precision metal stamping tools that drive our facility.
Responsibilities:
Build, modify, and maintain precision metal stamping dies, tooling, and fixtures in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders, to manufacture high-tolerance tooling components.
Perform tool tryouts, troubleshooting, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance in production environments.
Inspect tooling components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and comparators to maintain tight tolerances.
Diagnose tooling issues, perform repairs and preventative maintenance, and implement improvements to reduce downtime and increase tool life.
Partner with engineering and production teams to support die development, tooling improvements, and process optimization.
Maintain proper documentation of tooling changes, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and shop best practices while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Required Experience:
Minimum 3 years of machining experience
Experience with precision measuring instruments
Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiency with manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Authorized to work legally in the United States.
