JOB LOCATION Fort Smith Plant 42 JOB TITLE Printing Feeder JOB CATEGORY Hourly Plant & Mills JOB DESCRIPTION Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Locate and stage appropriate sheeted stock to be used at the assigned printing press.
Identify inconsistencies of the pick list pertaining to current and upcoming work orders.
Setup and adjust the feeder.
Quick-change sheeted stock while the press is running continuously.
Trouble shoot feeder issues and assist with rollers, plates, coating blankets and ink.
Assist the 1st and 2nd Pressman as needed while following all procedures and documentation regarding the Printing process in a safe manner.
Safe Quality Foods Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
Quality Ensures all products are manufactured to company/customer specifications.
Documents all defects and places them in the appropriate area.
Purging of previous work order before beginning the new order.
Sorting def Accurately reporting Downtime Process scrap Issue and reversal of loads Confirmation of loads Quality issues Obtain needed materials Locate and prep upcoming materials needed Assist the make ready process to minimize downtime Troubleshoot issues regarding feeder trips Assist 1st and 2nd pressman as needed. Remove sheeted waste from press Other duties assigned. Perform preventative maintenance as required Report damaged/defective goods to CI Mentor/training others to perform this job duty Perform Daily Housekeeping tasks Daily pallet jack inspection Sweeping designated department/area Emptying recycling bins Ensure that new associates assigned to the equipment are correctly/effectively trained to perform tasks related to maintaining safety, quality and productivity. Lump loads with coating stickers
REQUIRED SKILLS Position Requirements: High school diploma or GED Self-Motivated Problem solving/critical thinking. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical Demands: Must be in good physical condition. Proper lifting techniques. More than 50 lbs requires a team lift. Bend at the knee Requires extended amounts of time bending, pulling, kneeling, walking, standing and lifting.
