Shipping Receiving Opportunity
Support manufacturing and warehouse operations by safely receiving, storing, and shipping finished goods in accordance with established procedures. Serve as a key link between production, warehouse, and transportation to ensure accurate, timely movement of materials and finished products. Perform daily shipping and receiving activities while maintaining safety, quality, and inventory accuracy. Contribute to a safe and organized warehouse environment by following safety standards, maintaining housekeeping, and identifying potential hazards. A typical day includes operating forklifts, inspecting loads, entering inventory transactions, preparing shipping paperwork, performing inspections, and supporting inventory counts.
Follow all safety procedures and model safe work practices at all times. Identify and report near misses, incidents, unsafe conditions, or hazards immediately. Ensure compliance with applicable safety and workplace standards. Maintain reliable attendance and demonstrate flexibility to work overtime during busy periods. Perform daily forklift inspections and operate forklifts safely and efficiently. Load, secure, and prepare finished goods for shipment according to shipping requirements. Stretch wrap finished goods and work-in-process pallets as needed to support production flow. Enter finished goods into inventory systems and store pallets in designated warehouse locations. Maintain and update inventory records and support cycle counts and month-end inventories. Complete daily shipping and receiving logs and required paperwork accurately and on time. Inspect inbound and outbound trucks and loads using established inspection procedures. Support warehouse housekeeping by maintaining cleanliness of assigned areas and equipment. Inspect warehouse areas for contamination, damage, or conditions that could impact product safety. Report product safety or quality concerns to leadership promptly. Provide backup support for other warehouse and forklift roles as needed.
Qualifications / Requirements: Ability to work safely in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. Ability to operate a forklift and successfully complete required forklift training and certification. Basic computer skills with the ability to enter and track inventory data. Ability to read, write, and complete shipping and receiving documentation. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, moving, and securing materials. Strong attention to detail related to inventory accuracy, load security, and documentation. Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed, including during peak periods. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred / Desired Skills and Attributes: Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing environments. Experience with inventory management or warehouse systems.
