Holiday Baking Team Member
Breads Bakery is seeking passionate, eager individuals to join our pastry team to assist for the remainder of 2022. This role will be focused on holiday production for Thanksgiving, Hanukah, and Christmas. The opening is a wonderful opportunity for all levels of experience from recreational to professional to gain experience in viennoiserie and confectionaries as well as holiday production in a high volume bakery.
Responsibilities & Expectations: -Assist our team in all aspects of production including but not limited to scaling, mixing, sheeting, baking and so on. -Ensure proper inventory and quality are maintained- recognizing that every day presents varying needs and adjusting work flow to meet these needs. -Maintain a clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing space in accordance with operations and sanitation guidelines. -Follow tasks as instructed by Chef and managers, ensuring responsibilities are met and, when possible, exceeded. -Commit to creating consistent, high quality products- communicating to your superiors when there are concerns that these expectations are not met. -Foster a positive work environment and commitment to Breads Bakery's values. -Recognize the importance of professionalism and respect and exemplify this in interactions with vendors and coworkers alike.
Qualifications: -Professional experience in pastries and confectionaries, preferred but not required. -Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. -Remarkable communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving aptitude, and ability to multitask. -Capacity to excel on a team or work independently. -Ability to work on your feet for a full shift and lift 50+ lbs throughout the shift. -Must be 18 years of age or older & authorized to work in the US.
