A
hands-on technical expert

lead, mentor, and elevate a small IT team
while driving accountability and modernization
The environment supports ~250 users across five locations, with a mix of in-office and hybrid employees.
Key Responsibilities
Own overall IT strategy, infrastructure, and day-to-day operations
Build and maintain a technology roadmap aligned to business and risk priorities
Lead and develop a small internal IT team (including Help Desk resources in Tulsa and OKC)
Oversee Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, access, and cloud services
Support hybrid work through VPN and secure remote access
Serve as the internal owner of cybersecurity efforts, including policies, risk management, and incident response
Coordinate with an external cybersecurity partner (including PEN testing and remediation)
Manage vendors across cloud, connectivity, cybersecurity, and telephony (RingCentral)
Oversee IT hardware lifecycle (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals)
Explore automation and AI-driven solutions, including AI agents, where they add real business value
What They're Looking For
Must Have:
7+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership or ownership of an IT environment
Strong hands-on experience with Azure and Microsoft 365
Broad infrastructure, networking, and systems knowledge
Demonstrated cybersecurity ownership (beyond just vendor coordination)
Experience supporting multi-location and hybrid users
Nice to Have:
Experience building or managing AI agents or intelligent automation
Background in professional services, insurance, financial services, or other regulated environments
Relevant technical or security certifications
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
High visibility and influence with executive leadership
Opportunity to modernize and shape IT after a 20+ year tenure transition
Balance of strategic ownership and hands-on responsibility
Stable organization investing intentionally in technology and security
If you're an IT leader who enjoys
owning the environment, influencing strategy, and being the go-to technology partner for the business , this is worth a conversation.
