Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

Cloud Data Architect

to join our team supporting UHG. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions, with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities:
Architect, design, and implement cloud-native data solutions on major cloud platforms.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data architectures.
Define best practices for data storage, processing, integration, and governance.
Implement data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, and real-time streaming solutions.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory standards.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
Optimize cloud costs and performance for data platforms.
Required Skills:

Proven experience as a

Cloud Data Architect

or

Data Solution Architect .
Hands-on expertise with

cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) .
Strong knowledge of

data warehousing, big data, and modern data lake architectures .
Experience with

ETL/ELT tools, real-time streaming, and batch data processing .
Proficiency in

SQL, Python/Scala/Java

for data engineering.
Familiarity with

DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) .
Strong understanding of

data governance, security, and compliance .
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in the

healthcare domain

(UHG or similar environment).
Knowledge of

Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery .
Background in

machine learning/AI-driven data platforms

is a plus.
