TES Administrative Support Assistant
The Auburn University Water Resources Center is seeking a TES Administrative Support Assistant to provide administrative assistance to leadership and staff with daily operations.
The AU Water Resources Center provides numerous educational programs that help educate people about water monitoring, private wells, drought, green infrastructure, watershed planning, irrigation, and water stewardship. The Center serves academics, citizens, and agencies working in water resources and is committed to big improvements in Alabama's water resources through Instruction, Research, and Extension.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the following:
Assist with planning and execution of meetings, workshops, and outreach events
Set up and break down event spaces (tables, materials, registration areas, etc.)
Coordinate catering pick-up and delivery as needed
Prepare, pack, and transport materials for events and conferences
Assist with scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars
Perform general office tasks including scanning, copying, and data entry
Monitor inventory of program supplies (e.g., reagents, bacteriological kits, nets) and assist with ordering
Sort and distribute mail
Occasionally respond to or route emails and phone calls for the program
Assist with organizing and cleaning lab and program materials
Proofread and edit newsletters, articles, and social media content
Support other program needs as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
