Traveling Welder
Job Title: Traveling Welder $22-35/hr, Hotel and Flights paid for, plus per diem
We are seeking skilled individuals certified in welding to join our team as technicians. In this role, you will work on building and repairing paint booths within manufacturing and industrial settings. With a focus on welding, you will follow blueprints to construct I-beam frames with sheet metal paneling for walls, and install necessary ventilation systems and lighting. This position requires travel for 3-6 months at a time.
Responsibilities
Build and repair paint booths in manufacturing and industrial settings.
Specialize in welding tasks including stick, mig, and tig welding.
Follow blueprints to construct I-beam frames with sheet metal paneling.
Install ventilation systems, lighting, and other necessary applications.
Travel for extended periods, up to 3-6 months at a time.
Operate hand tools and power tools.
Measure and cut materials as required by project specifications.
Work collaboratively within a team to complete projects efficiently.
Essential Skills
Certified in welding.
Proficient in stick welding, mig welding, and tig welding.
Ability to read and follow blueprints and schematics.
Experience with paint booth building.
Skilled in measuring, cutting, and installing materials.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
Experience in operating equipment and welding/fabricating.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have or be willing to complete training for OSHA 10 certification.
Must have or be willing to complete training for Fall Protection certification.
Must have or be willing to complete CPR certification.
Must have or be willing to complete Aerial Lift certification.

Work Environment
Work primarily in manufacturing facilities with a typical schedule of Monday through Saturday, totaling 60 hours most weeks. Hours may vary depending on project demands. Be prepared for varying conditions and extended travel.
Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
