Patient Experience Liaison (Non-RN)

The Patient Experience Liaison (Non-RN) requires supporting the Call Center/Practice by providing excellent customer service to patients while assuming all Call Center job responsibilities. Patient Experience Liaisons must exhibit a professional appearance, the ability to maintain emotional stability, adapt to flexible work schedules, maintain confidentiality at all times, and work through referrals while maintaining productivity standards.
Hours: 9am-5:30pm
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, typing, general clerical skills and excellent telephone skills. Medical terminology and two year medical office experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: None.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Answer all incoming calls promptly, using standard greeting that include the company name and their own name in a professional, helpful, and courteous manner.
Maintain the defined performance metrics as outlined in the productivity standards.
Schedule, cancel, and reschedule new and established patients according to the approved scheduling guidelines of each practitioner and the appointment scheduling policies and procedures.
Verify and update patient information following patient registration criteria; make corrections into computer immediately.
Ensure all patients have been registered properly and all patient information is updated and entered directly into the computer.
Take messages for the office staff and providers as requested and when appropriate (per policy). Route messages according to procedure.
Cooperate in the cross-training of the offered clinic specialties to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
Processes referrals in the work queues. Schedule patients from referral or order.
Orients new patients to the Clinic. Inform patients of Riverside Medical Clinic's financial policies.
Manages the MHC appointment requests.
Assist supervisors as needed with varied office duties.
Other duties as assigned.
