Principal Specialist Materials Planning
Raytheon Missiles & Defense Andover has an opening for a Principal Specialist Materials Planning in our Materials Planning and Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) team.
The successful candidate has working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems in a manufacturing environment and utilizes data-driven decision making to enable effective planning and execution, as well as leadership experience. They will be responsible for executing day to day material availability requirements, as well as creating and improving processes.
This role will be responsible to align purchased material in support of manufacturing value streams to the operational plans that govern them through MRP. It will interface with Demand Planning, Production Control, Factory Operations, Program Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to help ensure resources are efficiently utilized based on a low volume, high mix demand profile for programs with priorities and unique material challenges. The role requires thoughtful, cross-functional collaboration through data analysis and fact-based influence to maintain organizational goals. The candidate in this role will need to quickly develop credibility and influence while leveraging strong interpersonal skills. They will foster a working environment that promotes safety, security, compliance, and quality while achieving overall customer requirements.
This position will be onsite in Andover, MA. Relocation assistance is not provided.
What You Will Do:
Monitoring of important system health metrics and key performance indicators weekly and monthly
Provide support to team and leadership for reporting and analysis as required by our internal customers
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Previous experience in Supply Chain, Operations Engineering or Finance
U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
MRP knowledge, SAP PRISM experience preferred
Experience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing
Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Outlook, Skype, and Teams)
Self-starter who requires minimal supervision, works well with teammates and customers, and has a results-based mindset and proven track record of success
Knowledge of working across business areas and interface at all levels of organization
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines
Ability to analyze, prioritize, think creatively, is well-organized and works well under pressure

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
