Mental Health Administrative Assistant
We are hiring a detail-oriented and efficient Administrative Assistant to join our busy team. This position will require a high level of accurate information gathering.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical office duties related to telephone management, receiving client, insurance/billing, electronic record management, scheduling, and administrative support as necessary. Ensures that the client visit is a well-coordinated and friendly experience.
Administrative Assistant Duties
Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages and provides routine information to callers.
Greets and registers clients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Schedules clients appointments within established parameters.
Performs various duties for effective check-in and check-out of clients.
Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files.
Schedules appointments for clients with other provider offices and/or facilities, including the correct processing of necessary referral forms, pre-authorization forms, test instructions, client benefit verification, and transfer of client information.
Processes requests for client information according to policies and procedures, including record copy service and form tracking.
Types various notes, letters, memos and reports, as needed. Proofs materials for errors.
Complies with all HIPAA rules and regulations.
Hourly rate $17.00-22.00 depending on experience
Qualifications
Minimum Experience: 5-10 years administrative assistant experience/medical/mental health office
Minimum Education: GED or High school Diploma
Skills: Excellent interpersonal/communications skills. Knowledge of mental health office operations to include reception, billing and insurance and general office skills preferred. Computer skills to include typing.
