Winthrop Position Title - Night Host 26-27
Job Purpose - Act as the resource person in a residence hall office and the first point of contact for residents, visitors, faculty and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities -

Return early and/or stay late at the beginning of the year, during breaks, and at the end of the year as needed.
Work in close cooperation with Residence Life and Facilities staff (including the Assistant Directors (AD), Residential Learning Coordinators (RLC), Residence Director (RD), Resident Assistants (RAs) and Custodial/Housekeeping crew).
Complete all hall office training sessions designated by Residence Life and supervisor.
Act as a good role model, and be knowledgeable of, enforce and follow Residence Life and University policy, as well as state and federal laws.
Maintain a professional work environment in and around the hall office.
Maintain confidentiality with regards to Residence Hall policies, hall records and hall incident reports.
Work all regularly scheduled shift(s). If unavailable to work, make arrangements with another staff member to have the shift covered.
Fully and accurately complete all assigned hall office paperwork and procedures for every shift.
Read and understand the Hall Office Staff Team Operations Manual and follow the policies and expectations set forth within it.
Abide by any rules or regulations set forth by the Residential Learning Coordinator (RLC) or Residence Director (RD) of the residence hall(s) in which you are employed.
Maintain the security of the building by following prescribed procedures in the Hall Office Staff Team Operations Manual and training.
To follow all Winthrop University and Residence Life emergency procedures and guidelines set forth online and in the Hall Office Staff Team Operations Manual. This includes any instructions given by Residence Life Staff, Winthrop University Police, Winthrop University faculty and staff members, and any other emergency personnel (EMS,RHPD,RHFD, etc).
Complete other duties as assigned by the RLC, RD or Assistant Director.
Qualifications - Maintain a 2.25 cumulative grade point average and half time student status throughout employment.
Preferred Skills - Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Pay Rate - $8.25/hour
