Description
A typical day includes:
Receiving vendor shipments via purchase order number and customer returns by RM number using I-Pod device.
Inspecting and verifying for correct amounts, description, label accuracy, quality assurance and disposition of product.
Labeling/packaging product being received according to standardized procedures.
Documenting accurately via discrepancy sheets for product overages, shortages and damages. Logging shipment errors and communicating them to the receiving manager, team lead and inventory control department.
Staging received product within proper stage location in a manner which facilitates workflow steps.
Building necessary pallets for incoming product according to storage zone.
Performing stock/pallet moves to recommended stage locations within warehouse manager system, IRMS.
Operating forklift and/or pallet jack to perform department related tasks.
Assisting inventory control with product storage slotting.
Collaborating with customers, both internal and external, to resolve inquiries and concerns about product and process recognizing when to escalate to a team lead and/or manager.
Maintaining a clean receiving area, ensuring no debris and product.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
You must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. You use common computer applications and company warehouse management system (WMS). Minimum of one-year related experience. Ability to be licensed as a powered industrial truck operator. Valid driver's license required.
