Insurance Manager

Responsible for reviewing and managing insurance requests for the company. Regularly interfaces with corporate risk, HR, project teams, and procurement.
Location & Travel Details: This is a hybrid position and can be based in either our Fargo or Indianapolis office.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
Subject Matter Expert for Company's insurance requirements
Responsible for ensuring subcontractors and suppliers carry insurance compliant with Company's insurance requirements
In cases where subcontractors are unable to meet requirements, determine if deviation from standard requirements is appropriate based on scope of work and contract value
Process and submit certificate requests for both upstream and downstream agreements
Evaluate compliance of downstream agreements with subcontractors and vendors' required insurance terms and work to bring them into compliance
Collect and oversee certificate of insurance database to maintain compliance while subcontractors or vendors are active on projects
Review and understand Master Agreements with Project Owners
Identify compliance issues based on Master Agreements and work with Procurement and project teams to achieve and maintain compliance
Assist HR with analyzing declaration pages for the vehicle allowance program
Assist with other risk and compliance-related activities as needed
Manage the Subcontractor and Purchase Order (PO) Matrix platform and update data as needed
Complete Certificate of Insurance (COI) process and distribution as polices renew
Monitor and update the insurance tracker to ensure timely and accurate information supporting the status of each claim
Provide general support to the internal Insurance team as appropriate
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
1-2 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company's Zero Injury principles
Experience working with corporate insurance policies
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Familiarity working within SharePoint
Strong organizational skills, initiative and meticulous attention to details
Ability to handle confidential information and communications in a secure and professional manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deal with multiple assignments, to prioritize, and to progress assignments without constant oversight
