Job Details
This position is responsible for set up and operation of chemical processing lines including Citric and Nitric Passivation and Chromate. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Work schedule M-F 6am-2:30pm
Follow the general instructions of processing specifications for the process as supplemented by the specific instructions on operations sheets and method sheets
Maintain accurate records of production and inspection, including log books and completed method sheets with all variable processing data recorded as required
Load, unload work in baskets, barrels, racks, etc. for processing.
Clean production parts, baskets, etc.
Rinse parts after cleaning and verify presence of water break free surface
Rinse and dry work, place work in containers and bake as required
Pre-plan work to ensure time limitations of the process are adhered to and production is maximized
Perform in-process and post-process inspections as required for particular chemical process
Clean and maintain equipment; observe various gauges and meters to ensure lines are working properly; stop the processing line when equipment is not operating properly
Make adjustments as needed to processing solution working level (water adds)
Make chemical adds to various processing solutions at the direction of solution analysis personnel; may be required to assist in mixing and testing solutions
Mask work for plating, as required
Maintain safe and clean working environment; follow all safety rules including wearing of appropriate PPE and maintain 5S improvements that are implemented
Assist in Utility Duties as needed
Prompt and proper completion of all required paperwork. Proper handling and integrity of router packet and enclosed information
Continuous part handling in a manner that preserves part/batch traceability
Must have the ability to read, write and interpret English to avoid injury to self and others, must keep supervisor informed of any problems when they occur. The incumbent must be capable of operating a hoist and forklift. Attendance at work is an essential function of the position.
