Continuously improve code quality, system reliability, and scalability
Work in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment, taking responsibility from idea → production → iteration
Interview Stages 4
Strong product thinking, ownership mindset, ability to ship end-to-end features
In Office - New York, NY (SoHo)
Hiring is high-intensity, execution-heavy startup environment. Candidates must be comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration cycles
Strong preference for builders over maintainers (people who have shipped full features, not just maintained services)
Candidates should have real production ownership experience, not just feature contributions
Best-fit profiles come from high-growth startups (Series A–C) or strong engineering orgs where they had direct impact on product + architecture
Must be comfortable working across frontend + backend (true full-stack, not backend-heavy engineers)
Strong bias toward candidates who have worked on:
AI/ML-enabled products OR data-heavy SaaS platforms
Internal tooling that powers revenue/sales/product workflows
Interview Questions
1. Can you walk me through your experience with Identity and Access Management systems. Specifically any work you’ve done with SSO, MFA, or protocols like OAuth2, SAML, or OpenID Connect?
2. Which language do you use most day to-day? Java or Python, and can you describe a project where you built or optimized a secure backend service? (Do not have to get too technical but client wants to know they have projects they can speak about).
3. Have you worked in any regulated environments like healthcare or finance where compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.) was important? (Even if not healthcare, candidates should show structured thinking about compliance and security standards).
4. What interests you about working on healthcare technology, and are you comfortable working hybrid in Pleasanton three days a week?
