Job Description
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and the full lifecycle of domestic and international shipments. This role ensures compliance with RFID/barcode standards, maintains operational efficiency, and upholds a safe, organized, and high‑performing warehouse environment. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical proficiency, and hands‑on experience across multiple logistics platforms and carrier systems.
Primary Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Leadership
Direct daily warehouse functions including receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
Lead, train, and mentor warehouse personnel to achieve productivity, accuracy, and safety goals.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse aligned with company standards.
Oversee cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
Implement and sustain best practices in workflow, storage optimization, and material handling.
Logistics & International Shipping
Manage domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, export documentation, and Incoterms.
Prepare and validate commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and export declarations.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and international carriers to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor shipment status, resolve delays, and maintain accurate logistics records.
Technology, Systems & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with Barcode and RFID tracking standards, including labeling, scanning, and traceability.
Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory control, workflow management, and reporting.
Operate shipping platforms including FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, USPS systems, and SEQCD.
Leverage software tools for tracking, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support integration of new technologies and process automation.
Equipment & Safety
Safely operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment.
Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and warehouse best practices.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and coordinate maintenance.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated experience with international shipping, export documentation, and customs compliance.
Strong knowledge of RFID and barcode technology, including scanning, labeling, and system integration.
Hands‑on experience with WMS platforms and inventory control processes.
Proficiency with FedEx, UPS, USPS, and SEQCD shipping systems.
Valid forklift certification with proven safe operation.
Strong computer skills with exposure to multiple software platforms (ERP, WMS, shipping tools, analytics tools).
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in managing warehouse operations and familiarity with technical environments (spare parts, machinery, workshop activities).
Strong technical profile with a mindset focused on inventory accuracy and discipline, proper and timely warehouse record‑keeping, structured and process‑driven operations, hands‑on presence in the warehouse, zero tolerance for non‑standard or “creative” practices.
Experience in manufacturing, packaging equipment, or industrial environments.
Knowledge of lean principles, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to analyze logistics data and recommend process improvements.
Experience implementing automatic storage systems (e.g., MODULA).
