Florida Water Wastewater Business Development Leader
to join our
Water Team
in
Florida
and expand our impact across municipal, utility, industrial, and regulatory markets. In this highly visible seller‑doer role, you will guide market strategy, grow trusted client partnerships, and lead the delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure programs.
This is an opportunity to elevate CHA’s presence in critical water markets—driving growth through technical leadership, client advocacy, and forward‑looking market insight—while shaping sustainable solutions that protect public health and the environment. This position offers fully
remote
capabilities; however, candidates must reside within the Florida area to support in‑person client visits and occasional
on‑site
responsibilities as needed.
What You’ll Do:
Drive growth across key water and wastewater markets by cultivating long‑term client relationships, strategic programs, and repeat business
Shape and execute market‑focused growth strategies aligned with firmwide objectives and water/wastewater sector priorities
Lead pursuit strategy for complex, high‑profile programs—guiding positioning, proposals, and client engagement from qualification through contract award
Serve as a trusted technical and strategic advisor to municipal, utility, industrial, and public‑sector clients
Provide executive‑level oversight of complex water and wastewater facilities, treatment systems, pipelines, and infrastructure programs
Navigate advanced engineering challenges while ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and quality delivery
Maintain accountability for project financial performance, forecasting, and resource planning
Identify emerging regulatory drivers, funding sources, and industry trends influencing water and wastewater investment
Mentor, develop, and inspire multidisciplinary teams while strengthening seller‑doer capability and succession planning
Elevate CHA’s market presence through industry leadership, client advocacy, and strategic collaboration across service lines
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related Engineering discipline required; Master’s degree preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) a plus
Minimum of 10 years of progressive water and wastewater engineering experience required including project management, technical leadership, and business development experience
Proven success driving business development, securing major pursuits, and sustaining long‑term client relationships
Deep technical expertise in water/wastewater treatment, distribution, collection, and supporting infrastructure systems
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while managing budgets, schedules, and performance metrics
Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills with clients and internal stakeholders
Experience partnering with municipal utilities, public agencies, industrial clients, or regulated environments

Salary Range:
$150,000 - $200,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
